GENE MASTRANGELI

I am an artist who also practices in the fields of architectural, interior design and fabrication. I am a graduate from the Master of Architecture program at the University of Toronto and have been working in the field of architecture and design since 2005. Prior to my architecture degree I worked as an artist and fabricator. I received a Bachelor of Fine Art from Concordia University in Montreal in 1996. I am a multi-media artist focusing mainly on sculpture/installation, video, photography and music. Though my artwork has covered vast territory, recent concepts oscillate between theoretical concerns with art/history and architecture/urbanism and my methodology has become an amalgamation of representational strategies from both worlds. I work mostly in downtown Toronto.
